The Design Team
Laura is a life-long vintage lover, a wife and mother of two young children, a violinist and an outdoor enthusiast. Before growing her vintage business online and in local small businesses, Laura worked for The McCourt’s Music Group from 2004-2020. Laura loved working with the local school music programs, helping children learn to play instruments and watching families grow musically together.
After having her second child, Laura’s desire to share her love of vintage and secondhand finds grew. Ironside Vintage began on Instagram in February of 2020. A year later, she expanded to online sales and local booths.
After opening The Rabbit Hole Vintage & Handmade shop in Waterford, MI in the Spring of 2023 with Marna & Heather, Laura looked towards expanding her design services. Since then, she has worked with her clients to bring vintage style and organizing solutions to their homes and businesses.
Laura believes in creating spaces that are both pleasing to look at and exciting to live in. Mixing function and form are her specialties. Laura especially loves to work with your family heirlooms, ensuring that your family history is highlighted and cared for. A cozy, moody, maximalist room is on the top of Laura’s style list. Her favorite items to curate are Americana folk art, carved wood details, vintage floral and portrait art, brass anything and fabulous vintage rugs.

Claire is an eclectic and extroverted woman who has too many chairs in her house to count and loves basking in the outdoors. She is a wife and a mother of one with another on the way. Claire speaks Spanish fluently, snowboards and hikes, and finds the most joy connecting with others and making things with her hands.
Before partnering with Laura and Kerry at Ironside Vintage & Design, Claire spent a decade working in international automotive and digital marketing analytics in several capacities. While finding these jobs interesting, she always craved an avenue that was more people-oriented and offered her a creative outlet. Upon becoming a mother in 2023, Claire stepped away from the corporate world to prioritize raising her family. Over the past decade, Claire’s interests in unique furniture, architecture, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable and confident grew.
Her favorite personal design style is heavily Mid-Century Modern with a bit of Postmodernism and vintage thrown in. She’s filled her home with eye-catching yet relaxing chairs. Claire also enjoys the beautiful handmade details of the Arts and Crafts movement and Tudor homes along with Persian and Oriental textiles, anything brick, mixed wood tones, and a striking color combination.
The strongest influence Claire credits are her mother’s hands-on teaching during her grade school years and her father’s art education and expertise as a commercial furniture designer. She vividly remembers learning to appreciate the beauty of the human figure while studying the Renaissance masters and learning fresco techniques by making her own for a school project.
Our spaces and wares should be beautiful, yet practical and lived in - not museums. Dings, scratches, patinas, and dents help tell our stories. Let Ironside assist you in creating the environment you find most enriching for your family or business!

Kerry’s design journey began in her childhood home, a beautifully decorated, tidy, and organized space that fostered focus, creativity, and a peaceful refuge from the overwhelm of daily life. These early influences became the foundation for how she approached her own home and, ultimately, her career.
Although her educational background is in communications and graphic design, Kerry became a key player in her family’s real estate business, consulting with clients on improving their interiors when preparing to sell their homes. This work came so naturally to her that she pursued it further, earning her certification as a Staging Design Professional in 2020. She has since expanded her resume to include consulting, home organization, and custom home systems for families inspired by the Waldorf educational philosophy, a lifestyle she’s immersed herself in since becoming a mother of two nature-loving little girls.
An avid thrifter, Kerry is passionate about updating her home with secondhand furnishings and decor, each item chosen with purpose, meaning, and the ability to delight. Some of her favorite thrifted finds include handmade pottery, woven baskets, trinket boxes and trays, original art, and anything with claw feet. Kerry is excited to share her passions and help others create peaceful, purposeful homes filled with love and joy.
